The 1888 Hotel (205) 2nd Floor King Studio Suite

The 1888 Hotel helped us bring in another unforgettable NYE adventure. Positive: We loved our stay at the 1888. The lobby is beautifully set up and inviting if you wish to step outside of your room and drink your coffee while reading a book. The rooms are thoughtfully decorated and they supplied everything you need. The rooms/bathrooms have modern fixtures and you can tell are newly renovated. We stayed in the King Suite and had plenty of room for our 2 night stay. Any questions I had were immediately responded to by text and then a follow up call by the concierge that was assigned to us. Mike the GM was very nice and quickly responded to a small issue I was having with operating the heating system as it was unexpectedly chilly in Florida the days we stayed LOL. We will be staying there again.

Positive: The property was exceptionally clean, well decorative with nice ambiance. Negative: I can hear everything from people walking in and out of the hotel, talking in the corridors and walking up and down the stairs from my room. The rooms are not soundproof so I was waking up to noises all throughout the night.

Stay was nice and enjoyable. Bed was very comfortable and room was clean Positive: I enjoyed how quiet the property was and felt safe with the code access Negative: There’s no elevator on the property

The hotel was adequate, but probably wouldn’t stay again. Positive: The room had everything we needed including a useful small kitchen area. The bathroom was wonderful once we figured out how to operate the shower.😊 Negative: -There was no onsite staff. If you call the number given for assistance, you speak with someone out of the country! -Parking was difficult on arrival, the alley behind was difficult to find, and the overnight parking was too far away. -There is no elevator for this three story building. This is not good for hauling bags or even walking if you are older. Certainly not handicapped accessible, and this was not made clear in the hotel information prior to booking/arrival.

Great location to be close to downtown and the Indy race .. very walkable Positive: Kitchenette was perfect for our needs. Shower was nice as well Negative: Space is tight for storage but not unworkable
